Meeting 8/3/03 General Election: All current board members were re-elected for next season. MIST: Tentative host hotel for 2004 MIST is Adams Mark at 69.00/night. Banquet and awards to be held on the field. Awards banquet: Currently receiving bids for the banquet, host venue to be announced on Sunday. Final Bat 'n Rouge financial report will be published at the banquet. Playing Rules & Decisions Important: Each player must have on his/her person valid identification during every league game. Failure to comply will result in game forfeiture. Decision #55: Any member of the league has the right to protest the use of an illegal player. If noticed during a game you're involved in, follow the protest procedure outlined below. If noticed in a game in which you are not involved, inform the Commissioner. If valid, all games in which that person played in shall be forfeited (#52). Additional disciplinary action may be required. Must have a valid U.S. Drivers License or State Issued ID at all games. Protest procedure: Notify plate umpire of intent to protest based on illgal player participation. This protest must be initiated prior to the final out. The game will continue. Once the game is finsihed, the plate umpire, UIC, or Commissioner will inform the opposing manager of the protest, and direct him/her to have the player in question provide identification. Failure to comply will result in forfeiture and/or disciplinary action. Note: The decision of the Board to impliment this regulation is the result of the actions of one team last season and the turmoil those actions caused. Please be aware that the membership of the league has the authority to suspend any individual indefinately (refer to Playing Decisions #58 and 59), and unsportsmanlike conduct such as that displayed by the team in question last season will not be tolerated. League dues are never subject to refund. Roster Deadline: All player applications are due to the Conference Cheif and/or Secretary no later than the beginning of play week 2. (See Decisions #46).
