Murdock: I had a nightmare. See, Springstein was sick. I was on the stage. The band was ready. Clarence was out there cooking, and I was the only one who could throw the boss's boots. So I put on my tee-shirt, put on my jeans. I walk out there. I open my mouth and all I can do is mooooooo. Just like a cow. Mooooooo. And the audience is saying ďż˝Sing booooorn in the USA. Booooorn in the USA. And I'm goin mooooooo, mooooooo. And I fall down on all fours and I start grazing on the amp chords, and salivating. And the audience is singing Jungle Land, jungle land. And then I exploded. What do ya think?

Face: Uh, I lost it. I mean, the magic is gone. I, of all people, should be able to see through a conartist. No more. You guys, you might as well just put me up on a box, let the kids throw rocks at me.

Murdock: Mummy, Daddy, what are you doing home early? You promised I could stay up late and watch Johnny.
Bad Guy: Who the hell is this guy?
Richter: He's a patient, he's had a mental breakdown. Please don't hurt him.
Murdock: Uncle Pete, what are you doing back from Toronto?
Bad Guy: Knock him out.
Murdock: Oh! Richie, you always get to play doctor. Why don't (groan) I ever get to play doctor?
