Hi, I'm Phil and welcome to my place.  I'll be your ambassador to my post here on the web.  Thanks for coming by!  Just to give you an update, I've completed a (sort-of) redesign of the site which includes a section devoted to first attempts at poetry and a photo gallery.  I've also expanded the "About Me" section and started a photo gallery (which is still in the shop, unfortunately).  And thanks to the advent of summer, and the absence of school,, the site itself is beginning to find some shape and form since its initial conception, whereas, before, it was just...well, amorphous ("lacking definition").  But since I'm kinda preoccupied right now with a massive jobsearch, please bear with me.  I'll be adding more decorations to the place once I come into some of that time thang.

So how did I go about creating this post? Perhaps some background would be useful in understanding why I've included what I have here.
Firstly, I'm a 007 Fan, and have been addicted since seeing my first movie -
GoldenEye ...which immediately flew me into a world full of intrigue, espionage, and fantasy.   I love the series and I love the relaxed, calm character of Bond who truly is "shaked, not stirred" in the most  extreme of situations.
Secondly, I enjoy writing and I like expressing myself.  I like to write sometimes when my mind is in disarray - that is, when I can't seem to find the way out of a labyrinth of thoughts and emotions inside me.  It's a simple way to find solace in solitude.
Thirdly, I'm a major sports fan.  Being here in Vancouver  makes for a constantly shifting environment for the pro sports teams here, the Grizz and the Canucks.  I like reading about them, and I like analyzing what happens after player acquisitions, management firings and other miscellaneous sports affairs.   Sports are a hobby of mine and I find it a great source of escape from the daily grind.
So those "elements" will be found here as part of my cache of interests.  And, of special note, I have to say I try to adopt a critical point of view to  many of my interests - that is, I don't like them just for what they are.  I like them for how they're made, how they're conceived, and how they're executed.  Thus, if possible, I try to apply that philosophy to things I enjoy - in the form of reviews, analysis or evaluation.
Ok, that's enough ho-hum from me.  Take a tour around my home here and I hope you'll see what I mean.   Leave me a message - I always appreciate the constructive/destructive criticism that can be used to improve myself and what I do.
Thanks for visiting.  I hope you enjoy your stay. -)
Cheers,

Phil - 1 L

This site is maintained by me, Phil, on a summer basis.  When school begins, well... that'll be harder.  Why are you reading this?  I assume you must be bored.  Darn.  I wish I wasn't boring you right now.  Hm... jamesbond.com isn't a bad alternative.  Depends if you're a Bond fan.  Gosh, you must be REALLY bored.  Do you want to get back at me for wasting your time?  I wouldn't blame you.  Just click on that navy blue box up above there, and you can kick and scream as much as you want.  Just, you know, don't be too profane in your comments, since this is the Internet, and since I don't have a kid's protection service or censorship thingamigigg to weed out all that... stuff.  OK, now I'm bored.  See what you did?  You made me take the trouble to come here, type all this useless gibberish up, and now you're going to leave?  I challenge you to stay here for an extra 30 SECONDS!  No, make that 60!  No, 240!  No, 3600!      *hehe... sorry for wasting all that time of yours.  I'm just ...going....to go now...  see ya -)    thanks for coming*                     Look out below!  (Legal stuff)
