I enjoy a lot of things, ranging from the dynamic, always-fluctuating world of Sports (Canucks & Grizz), the analytical side of the entertainment world (Bond), politics, literature, Journalism and finally to the creative universe of Web Design.  Debating, discussion and learning from others are also sources of inspiration, as well as enjoyment, for me.

The Canucks
Work ethic, Team attitude
QUOTABLE
I'm a huge fan of the Canucks.  Yes, I am. -)  I don't actually go to the games (too much $ for the average fan), but I do however will take the opportunity to switch on the TV and watch a game these days (wow... that took a lot of work.  Yeah I know - hehe).  Honestly though, despite the grueling torture of their 97-98-99 Messier doldrum years, I'm believing in this team again and I am gleefully proclaiming the Canucks as very, very probable playoff contenders.  Not necessarily for the Cup, but I feel they will take it far, as long as they continue to uphold and strengthen the core values they've built for themselves: undying work ethic, mental focus, and unity as a team. These qualities are what drive the team and are what are constantly propelling it to success.  They are among the top teams of the NHL right now, and their accomplishments are beginning to make eyebrows rise.  Although I've got a lot of work to do in U now, and not exactly that much time to sit in front of the TV (much less the computer developing this site - haha), I'm going to support them and I'm going to proudly say that hey, Vancouver's got a good team.  We can play with anybody.  So watch out.
Go Canucks.

[Following a 4-3 win over the Columbus BlueJackets in Dec.]
We said, "We have to be ready: we have to get off to a quick start," defenceman Adrian Aucoin said afterward.  "I don't know whether it's mental or physical, but any time you have an extended period off, it's almost like you lose momentum.  I don't think we were thinking about losing the game, but it was kind of a shock [being down 2-0].
Obviously, we were pissed off."
                                             - Adrian Aucoin, 6

[From The Province]:
"There's neither a magic elixir in their water bottles nor a treasure map pointing to offensive riches.  If you want to know why the Canucks are [having success this season], just listen to Todd Bertuzzi:
"
We're going to the net with a purpose," the right-winger stated simply.  "We're getting in position to score."
                                             - Todd Bertuzzi, 44

"Around Christmas, a lot of teams are kind of just saying, "Just a couple more games until the break.  We can't think that way.   A young team like this, a lot of success has to do with
attitudeJust the fact that we believe we can win is pretty much the reason we are."
                                             - Adrian Aucoin, 6

"We're a team that has to work hard, and
when the work ethic isn't there, that's when we're not winning."

"If you don't have 100 percent mental capacity in this league, you're hurting as a
player."
                                             - Marc Crawford, Head Coach

Sorry Bert.
You guys just
