1999 december 06st nicholas dayi still get st nicholas boxes from my mother.
i received this year's about a week ago and ripped it open only to discover she had mislabelled it and i had jubilee's box while jubilee presumably had mine. luckily, with priority mail we were able to mail each other our respective packages in time to open today; it would have been a tragedy to have st nicholas day late. the theme this year seems to be ornaments. ornaments ornaments ornaments. which is actually rather wonderful as the poor tree sat all weekend with just the blue lights strung on it and nothing else. now it is looking much more festive, if a little sparse in the decoration arena. i think we will finish decorating later this week, if i am not too exhausted by the time i get home. this working two jobs during the holiday season is getting very old. whatever was i thinking? i know what i am thinking right now, though. i think i shall take pictures of all the new ornaments and share them with you throughout the week. happy holidays! st nicholas has already been here once, claire
