the small black cat
peter parker's undying affection for me seems to be building into a rather serious obsession.
whereas he previously would limit his need to be with me by jumping into my lap whenever i sat down at the computer, or in the chair on front of the television, he now follows me all about the house, even the bathroom. if i make so bold as to lock him out of the bathroom while i am doing my business, whatever it may be, he sits outside, scratching at the door and yowling in a most pitiful manner; one would think he were being tortured by the secret police. he does the same thing if i am in the laundry room, the guest bedroom or on the back porch watering the flowers. he sleeps with me, following me to the toilet if i get up in the middle of the night to pee.
i haven't had this much fanatical attention since i finally shook the exhusband.
i like this picture; it's the only one i've managed to snap of the cat so far. you can almost see the maniacal glint in his green eyes.
