Coming soon!
We're breeding paints so why this gelding? We recently traded our chocolate palomino filly for this guy. Our children are wanting to get into riding and I want to trail ride. So, a gelding we felt was the only way to go. Even though my stud is gentle and I'm able to handle him I just don't feel comfortable starting my kids on him. I think he may have done ok but........ I think it's better to have less hormones. He looks like a buckskin but is a dun. He has the dorsal stripe and leg barring. He will be a shorter horse. We think he won't mature over 15 hands if he even makes it that far. He will be three this spring and is only 14 hands right now. But that will be perfect I think. My kids may outgrow him and move on to a larger horse but I never will! He is right around 1000 pounds. We got him from Dusky Ridge Farms in Missouri. They have some really nice horses and breed Quarters. This guy was trained really well. He has a really nice handle. Of course he's still young and is green but will be very nice.
