Works for the Ages

In addition to the literature and theater remakes, Poe fans have been creating their own musical versions of his famous works. This lovely piece was sung and played by two sisters and is from one of Poe's more well-known poems: 'Annabel Lee'.

Madman or Genius?

Poe is known as a master of horror; the creator of the modern detective story and one of the originators of the science fiction genre. From hauntings to murders, demons and necromancy, his blood-strewn literature and spine-tingling poetry has made him a figure of morbid curiosity. The inspiration of his works remains a mystery but it is clear that they resound through the ages; a dark reflection of Poe's mind left for the enjoyment of the literary world.
