John Comyn the Wolf of Badenoch
John Comyn the Wolf of Badenoch, leader of the Scots Cavalry at the Battle of Falkirk 22nd July 1298. A claiment for the Scots throne and supporter of the exiled King John Balliol. He was murdered by rival claiment to the throne, Robert the Bruce on the altar of Greyfriars Kirk in Ayrshire. Days later Bruce had himself crowned King of Scots.
