Here is a picture of the Te Papa National Museum's recreation of a Maori legend. The blue stained glass symbolizes their sky father and the multi-colored rug stands for their earth mother. When the museum opens the glass door, it is supposed to show the separation of the earth mother and the sky father by one of their children, represented by the tree statue.
