Welcome
Being raised as a fisherman in the northern parts of Scandinavia wasn't easy, but still the family managed to survive even thou they where poor and had recently moved from their old home, and ended up in Hogom, as the new village was called. Not many survived the first winter but Adhman and his family managed to get through their first winter.  The summer was a good one for his family; they built a large house by the water and gained some influence in the village. Adhman's father a tall and fair man -Ake-, often spoke on the behalf of the others in the village.  Something the village chieftain didn't like, but couldn't do anything about since many of those living in the village stood behind Ake.  So he decided to go elsewhere to find support and help against the one who dared to talk against him in some issues.
Life went on as normal in Hogom.  Adhman worked hard, and grew stronger and taller with each month that passed.  Many spoke of him, and they held him in high regard, since he was a lot like his dad -Ake-, and then came the winter, and the war.  This war was fought between two villages who both thought they, and they alone where the rightful owners of some land in between them.  This land was not something special if it hadn't been for the gold they found on it. This was when the chieftain of Hogom saw his opportunity to have Ake killed without gaining the anger of the others, and still have a fair chance of gaining that land.  So he spoke with Ake, explaining how they must strike first or they would stand without a chance. Adhman who still was a young man had to stand by and listen as his father agreed to go with only a handful of men and charge an attack on the other city, while a second group of men would strike from behind.  What Ake didn't know, was that there was no second group, and that the chieftain had warned the other village in return for a small part of that land.
When the day ended, Ake and his group went out to strike at the village.  Adhman felt something, he didn't know what, but that feeling wouldn't leave his stomach, so he decided he would follow his father and find out why the gods had sent him this feeling.  When entering the night, he felt as he was born to do this.  His eyes seemed to adjust quicker then usual to darkness, and his feet didn't stumble in the dark as usual and his hearing felt like beating faster then normal.  He grabbed his fishing spear and walked out into the darkness.  He could quickly find his father's group's tracks, even thou he wasn't a hunter, all of this felt like he had done nothing else.  He walked for maybe an hour before he could pick up the sounds of his father's group and slowly walked closer to get a better look.
Just as he got close enough he noticed something moving, he couldn't see what it was, but that feeling in his stomach, turned from a butterfly to a raging dragon.  He realized that his father was about to be attacked, he tried to scream but he frozen solid and couldnt get a single word out from his mouth.  He could only stand and watch how his father and his men got cut down by the larger and more experienced group.
When the massacre was over, he saw someone coming down from a hill with a sword in his hand, The Chieftain.  He walked by every man from his village and stabbed them in their hearts.  Adhman's blood froze in his veins and a feeling he never felt before starting to give life to his frozen limbs and veins.  Hatred clouded his eyes, and he charged down to the spot where his dad had been betrayed and slayed, he would kill that man.  Adhman didn't get far before one of the men stood in his path grinning and showing him a huge sword, with a growl that man swung his sword at Adhman, who saw this almost in slow motion and could easily avoid the blow and strike with his spear, only seconds later the man was dead.  Adhman picked the sword up and started walking toward the men... Adhman slayed the first three of them, but the fourth crashed into his side and threw him into the ground.  He could feel how a blade was stabbed into his leg and side, and then darkness came.
Hours later or maybe just minutes, Adhman didn't know, he woke up. He tried to stand up, but his legs didn't manage to raise him up, so he fell right down.  Then the darkness came once again, and this time Adhman knew he was going to die.  Slowly he woke up, feeling the warmth of a fire; he couldn't stand or speak since he body was still near death.  He looked around and found himself in a small cave, and in the corner of this small cave, he could see a man.
Weeks went by and Adhman could finally stand up again, but he couldnt speak, somehow he just couldn't speak, even thou he tried not a single word came from his lips.  The man in the cave was tall and slender and had a cape around his body at all times.  Adhman couldn't remember seeing this man ever removing this cape.  Weeks turned into months, and finally Adhman had found the strength to walk around without any problems and his speech slowly started to find its way back.  The man, who refused to tell Adhman his name, told him how he had found him laying on the ground, with barely any life left in him, and decided try and rescue his life, something he never thought would be possible, but Adhman had proven him wrong.  Adhman asked where they where, and how far away his village was, since he had to return and tell his family and the village what their chieftain had done to them.
The man looked at Adhman with sad eyes and said 'Young one, I'm afraid your family, chieftain and entire village is gone. I saw it all when riding by, a large group of armed men attacked a village and I find it hard to believe they left a single soul alive.'
This was more then Adhman could take so he charged a fearless attack at the man who dared to lie to him.  This attack was easily avoided and he launched a counter attack at Adhman who didn't stand a chance and fell on the ground.  This didn't stop him though, and he threw another attack at the man but this attack ended as the first had.  Adhman fell down crying asking, why the man didn't stopped the attack or at least tried to save some of them.
The only answer he got was 'It wasn't for me to stop; faith had other plans for me.'
Months passed by and the man taught Adhman many things such as tactics, reading and fighting. When a full year had passed the man looked Adhman deeply in his eyes and said 'My god has called for me, it is time for me to fight in his name once again, farewell Young one.'
Then he turned around and walked out of Adhman's life for ever. Adhman, who was a strong young man with much hatred in his heart, decided he would do the only thing he could do, travel as far away from this place he could, and use his newly learned skills to make a living, he traveled far south and took a job protecting a merchant in a small town. That's when he saw the sign from the man's cape for the second time in his life.  He just had to ask the man on the horse what that sign meant.  Adhman was told by the man that he was a Knight in Gods Holy Army and that they were Templars.  So, Adhman decided to try and find his savior, and he left his job and started searching for him.
