NEW LAYOUT! - There you have it, my first layout for 2005. :) It may not have a "New Year-ish" theme to it but I love it just the same. Pirates of The Caribbean featuring 3 of the main characters: Jack Sparrow, Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann. I just watched the movie on VCD and PoTC is now a current addiction for me. ;) It's the first time I didn't use scrollbars in my own coding. Looks great, if I say so myself. I also experimented a bit with the brushes in Photoshop and used it on the images. Please comment or sign the guestbook for any reactions you might have. :)

[EDIT]
MUCH thanks to Abby for helping me out with the color codes. :)

It wasn't like before... - I don't know if it's just me but Christmas wasn't how it used to be. Less preparations. Less gifts. Less visitors. Less phone calls. I find it sad. Is it because of the sudden events? Is it because the economy is getting worse again? But let me start at my own home. Ever since my grandmother and uncle [who both lived with us] passed away, my parents and I always had a quiet Christmas together. But this year, it was more lonely and less cheerful. My mom would get really stressed and my dad would always come home tired. Of course, come Christmas Eve, I was trying to shrug it off, telling myself that I was just getting paranoid. We finished our Noche Buena early and sat in the living room. We then exchanged presents and also gave our helpers their Christmas bonuses. But I couldn't help remembering that we used to have bunutan before. It was our family tradition and I forgot when we stopped doing it. I wished we could have had it again but my mom said that times were tough and some of our helpers wouldn't be able to buy gifts and such. :( I just hope most of you had a better Christmas than I had this year.

Batangas - After Christmas lunch with my mom's side relatives the other day, my parents and I drove to our rest house in Batangas since my dad's side relatives are staying over. They were there for 3 days and we just arrived in Manila today. It was kind of fun but there were a lot of screaming toddlers about and I didn't get much sleep last night since all of them slept in my room last night. What the hell. My inaanak kept screeching and my cousin-in-law [who I absolutely loathe] was snoring loudly. But they all commented that our rest house was nice and how they wish they could have one too.

My mom wants me to invite my friends over there sometime. :) I told Nav about it last night and he said that it would most probably happen at the end of the school year. I can't wait. :)

2005 - The new year is fast approaching and I'm still thinking about my New Year's resolutions. What are some of yours? I end up not following some of mine anyway. :P One of my goals last year was to attend and complete Simbang Gabi this year but I never attended one. Pathetic of me. :P I have a feeling 2005 is going to be one fun year. Lots of U.B.E. and Ka.Mo.Te., right classmates? ;) HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE! :)

Questions/Comments -
q&c: Have you viewed your site in Mozilla Firefox before? It looks a bit weird.
- No, I haven't. I'm sorry though. I'll see what I can do.

Online gift - Oooh. Thanks to Riana for this one. :)

KC De Venecia - Such a tragedy to happen right before Christmas. KC De Venecia, daughter of Jose and Gina De Venecia, passed away last Thursday night at their home in Dasmarinas Village due to a fire caused by christmas lights. KC was my classmate in Repertory class T3 just last summer. She barely attended rehearsals but you could tell she was full of life and energy. She being a cousin of Honeyboy, Meynard would always ask him where she was. It always turns out that she's busy with school, as KC was studying in the International School. The Reppers and I couldn't believe it when we heard the news. Please pray for KC's soul and for her family. REST IN PEACE, KC. WE LOVE YOU.

Christmas break - Change topic please. So, it's Christmas break once again. :) What have you guys planned for the break? Too bad we're only staying at home. Anyway, our class Christmas party was okay. We really didn't have anything planned and Ms. Camacho just let us do our own thing, which was pretty cool. Michelle showed up too and it was great seeing her again. :) I loved giving [and receiving] gifts. ;) Thanks, you guys. :) EK on December 22? :P

I went to Penny's debut last night at Chorrize's house. :) RAGIN' SEVENTIES, BABY! The party was super fun. :) There was a band and they played 70's music all night long and everyone was dancing. Practically our whole barkada was there: me, A.V., Celine, Laura, Richele, Justin and Mara. :) We made a pretty cute group with our retro outfits. ;) Then we had an U.B.E. at a small room at the 3rd floor, overlooking the billboards of South Super Highway. We just hung out, stretched our tired feet and watched Batman and Robin on Studio 23. :P We were supposed to go to Figaro though but we had no ride. =\ Chorrize says that on her 18th birthday, she's allowed to bring the entire barkada to Boracay. Yea boi! ;)

Caroling - Some of my classmates and I are going caroling this week. We're all choralers and orchestra-ers. Lol. We're going to sing at some of our parents houses and connections inside AAVA. We need more houses to visit though. Do you want us to sing for you? :) Then go ahead and just inform me. :)

Questions/Comments -

Shopping - Whew! I'm almost done with my Christmas shopping! I went to the St. James bazaar at Cuenca with Celine and Ticky yesterday. :) I can't believe I got to scour the entire bazaar in just one afternoon! It was just like last year. The place was filled with interesting stalls and booths and it's like I needed eyes at the back of my head to see EVERYTHING! Ticky contradicts me on that part. He says Celine and I should have that eye-piece that the horses have so we could only look in one direction. :P Well, what could I say? We're girls.
We love to shop. :P

Anyway, I had to practice a lot of self-restraint at the bazaar yesterday. I found so many things I wanted to buy for myself! But, of course, I needed to save or else I won't have money left over for my gifts. Here are just a few things I've debated with myself in buying:

- Candy Cane lipbalm from GAP [100 bucks]
- Striped pink shoulder bag from Bangkok [140 bucks]
- Pink dreamcatcher [250 bucks, more or less]
- Pink A-line skirt [250 bucks]

Get me any of these for Christmas? I'll love you forever. :D Haha. I went out this morning to buy some last-minute gifts too. But I'm afraid I'm not quite done. =\ What do you get your friend who has EVERYTHING already? :P

What do you regret? Why? - Hmmm...I guess I regret a LOT of things. Things in the past which I did without thinking first. Things that concern my parents, my close friends, my peers and even God Himself. I regret disobeying my parents' rules. I regret lying. I regret not studying and not bringing home a good report card. I regret procrastinating. I regret being hard-hearted at times. I regret having too much pride. I regret judging others before I REALLY get to know them. I regret doubting God at my lowest. But that is all a thing of the past. Now all I can do is learn from them and make sure not to commit the same mistake...over and over again.

I'M BACK. - Finally. My hiatus is over and I can go back to blogging here. I missed working on this thing. ;p Anyway, new look and layout for Angel Mist. How do you like the layout? I think it's the best one I've done so far. Please comment or sign the guestbook. Thank you.

Inter-level / J&J dance competitions - My class didn't get a place in the Inter-level while we [the juniors] got 4th Runner Up in the J&J. Congrats to the winners most especially to the seniors. I loved your routine in the J&J. ;) As much as I'm glad it's over, I kind of miss the whole thing. Don't get me wrong, I don't miss those times when the group would disagree and fight and shout and get all stressed.
What I'm saying is that I miss the practices and bonding itself. For two solid weeks, we worked on the routine, the steps, the transitions, the music, the costumes and even on the dancers themselves. For two solid weeks, we would go home late and tired that we don't get to do homework or study anymore. Recess and lunch periods were spent on practicing in the classroom. After classes, it was straight to Gym 3 for, what else, practicing again.

We sure did a lot of sacrificing for the sake of the competitions. We even sacrificed enjoying the fair. We may not have bagged champions or gotten medals or received a large amount of cash, but at least what matters is that we showed up, danced, and did our best. Diba? ;)
So congratulations again to the winners. We might be able to beat you next year.

CHRISTMAS - My favorite holiday is coming up! :) Mmmm...presents, food, get-togethers and money! Definitely my favorite season. ;) Speaking of presents, I have made my shopping list already and it seems like I'd need a lot of cash to buy gifts for my friends. =\ That's always the tough part. Oh well. Like they say, what comes around, goes around. Or something like that. I have 2 more weekends to go before the Finals and I have to have everything done by then. Or else I'll be too busy studying to mind about gift-giving. =\

Please pray for the typhoon victims. It's a possibility that they'll be spending their Christmas in a cramped space along with other families. We may be happy that there are no classes but think about what they're doing or where they are right now.
