This page and its links will help you expand your knowledge of the topics we are learning about  in class while keeping up with class assignments and projects.
Literature and social studies (LI/SS) is an integrated class for fifth and sixth grade students. Students in the fifth grade will study the Constitution, Manifest Destiny, the Civil War, and Immigration and Industrialization. Students in the sixth grade will study twentieth century United States history and geography. In addition, students will be reading a number of young adult novels from the time periods they are studying and working to improve their reading speed and comprehension. Students will be researching and writing about a number of the topics they are learning with the goal of helping history come alive in the classroom.
