The postulate (person desiring entrance into the Church) must email the following:
- at least 1 trade reference and/or 3+ positive purchase/Ebay references
- a list of message boards, mailing lists and newsgroups that they frequent
- Their age
The postulate must join the Church mailing list at onelist.com. (subscribe to the "churchofmimic" list). We make this a requirment
so that all the Church can communicate more easily. It may take a few days to get your pending request onto the list, depending on
IceFeather and MG's workloads. Don't worry- you WILL be added (and much faster then in the past year...how embarassing).
Negative trade references or excessive negative Ebay/sale feedback is unacceptable.
After a brief probabation period, the Church membership at large will vote on making the postulate a full member of the Church or casting them out. Input from the Mistress of Novices' report and other input will be brought forth at this time so everyone can make an informed choice.
There will be NO exceptions to these rules.
Allright, now for the disclaimer.
The Church of the Holy MOC Mimic is a club , and is all in good fun. This is not an actual relgious organization in anyway. It's just a big joke. The Church of the Holy MOC Mimic promotes:
- a fun, friendly and slightly "off the wall" approach to pony collecting
- no elitism, no cliques and tolerance that everyone is different
- Honorable and fair trading
- just fun for everyone, really.
If you were actually looking for a cult to fill a spiritual need- keep looking! This certinatly isn't it. This club has no relgious meaning whatsoever, except as a tounge-in-cheek congregation of devoted collectors.
So everyone, relax, it's all in good fun. We do not permit members under the age of 16 due to the nature of many mailing list conversations. People under 18, if your and your parents are extremly relgious or you think they might have a cat about you joining an online club titled after as a church, I (IceFeather) strongly suggest that you just clear it with them. I'll assume that when you click the little certification box on the join form, you have.
