JOHN AMBULANCE MALAYSIA (DIVISIONS A1 & AC3)
20th October 1984
The Chung Ling First Aid Corps was officially registered into the St
John Ambulance of Malaysia, State of Penang as Ambulance Division 1
and Ambulance Cadet Divisions. She is named as Chung ling St John
Ambulance Divisions A1 & AC3. The first president was Mas. Tan Chiou
Ming. The society’s policies did not change much but remain the
same. The strength of the divisions was about 251.
12th January 1984
An enrolment ceremony and inspection was held to celebrate the
transference of the society.
18th May 1985
The first Interschool First Aid Quiz Contest by Chung Ling St John
was organized. Chung Ling representatives won the champion.
28th April 1985
The Divisions sent her representatives to participate in the State
First Aid and Nursing Competition (organized by the St John
Headquarters). The Ambulance Cadet Division emerged as runner-up.
May 1985
The Divisions’ T-shirt and badges were designed and sold to the
members

In May 1985, the training committee was officially born after the
announcement by the chief teacher advisor. The first chairman of the
committee was Mas. Loh Gim Chuan.
21st March 1987
For the first time, the Ambulance Cadet Division squad emerged as
the champion of the State First Aid & Nursing Competition and
represented the state in the National First Aid & Nursing
Competition which was held in Sentul, Kuala Lumpur. The squad turned
out to be the runner-up.

20th March 1988
The Ambulance Cadet Division Squad won the champion in the State
First Aid & Nursing Competition for the second time. The squad then
was participated the National First Aid & Nursing Competition which
was held in Ipoh, Perak.
1987-1988
The hospital Duty Committee was formed to apply for the hospital
duty which was opened for Ambulance members only.
October 1988
The Cleanliness Committee was under a Probational period until
December 1988. The committee was officially approved as a
sub-committee on January 1989 by the Central Exco.
1989
Card System was introduced by the Library Committee
