| We first met at the pet shop where I was... err... temporarily living. I was busy sunning myself when this slip of a girl bent down to talk to me and stroke my chin. I'm always a sucker for things like that, so of course I warmed up to her immediately. She talked, I purred, we clicked. She invited me to stay with her in her home and I said "Okay." I mean, what guy would turn down an invitation like that? Rightttttttt, the stupid kind. And stupid is something I'm definitely not. So, here we are. Lynn has me to keep her company and I have a home to call my own. At night we'd sit at the balcony and watch the night sky together. It's a pretty good life. |

| Me in a rare reflective mood | ||||||||||||||
| I'm about 28 cat years old. I'm too lazy to count, so if you want to know how old I am in human years, you need to calculate it yourself (there's a guide somewhere). I don't know exactly when or where I was born, but I know I used to stay in a house with my mother, brothers and sisters. I haven't seen my family since my previous pet humans sold me to the pet shop. Guess I never will again. If I had known that way back then, I would've cherished the time I spent with my family more. All the fun I had with my siblings, the love and affection I get from my mother... *sighs*. I just hope they are in good homes, with nice humans to look after them. Anyway, that's enough about the past. I have the future... and I still have eight lives to look forward to! My days are usually filled with sleeping, grooming, eating and... that's about it I guess. And bothering Lynn, of course. I love doing that to her; I walk across the keyboard whenever she's rushing a report, sit on the page when she's reading the newspaper, block the screen when she's watching TV. It's so much fun watching how irritated she gets. I love chasing things around, especially mice, but there aren't any around in this place. So, I have to be content chasing bugs and lizards. And I love fish. Tuna and Salmon. Yum-my! There were plenty of fish in the pet shop but they were in those aquarium thing... and I hate getting my paws wet. Plus, those humans won't let me out of my cage anyway. And I really love it when Lynn lets me out of the apartment... There are so many things to see and do and soooo many different places to explore. But I seldom get to do that cause Lynn is scared I might fall off the building. Doesn't she know that us cats always land on our feet? Sure I have nine lives but it's not like I have a death wish, ya know? |

| Lynn, wearing lipstick, out man-hunting. | ||||||||||||||
| She's about... well, the average life span for an indoor cat is about 15 to16 human years... and Lynn is about twice that (Chuwyyyyyyyy!! -- Lynn). I'm sorry, Lynn, but I need to give them some idea of how old you are. Besides, other humans say you look young anyway... so what's the big deal? I guess Lynn is pretty cool for a human. She rescued me from the pet shop, so I won't say too many bad things about her (Eh? What bad things?). Lynnnn, will you quit interrupting me? (Sorry, but what bad things?). Okayyyy, not that she has many bad things about her. Satisfied?? Lynn works at home -- which is good news for me since I can easily get her to do whatever I want her to do all day long. I honestly don't know what kind of work she does, but she spends quite a lot of her time staring at the computer. And when she's not staring at the PC, she's staring at the TV. Sometimes she would go to this place called the office. I have no idea what that is. I think it's a place humans go to get stressed out. I don't get why you humans would want to do that. Oh, Lynn just told me the office is what gets the money to buy my food. I guess if it keeps me fed, that's okay. Let's see... what else about Lynn? She's quite the film freak. Her friends often call her up to find out about the latest films. The thing is Lynn loves 'em all, so to her, all of them are good. She even likes Saturday Night Fever! No taste at all. But... she did choose me, so there's hope for her yet! |

| Gracie and her perpetually startled (not starlet!) look | ||||||||||||||
| Gracie came to live with us about a month after I moved in with Lynn. Her humans moved to a much smaller place and they just didn't have any space for her. So, Lynn kindly offered to take her in to be my faithful servant -- a concept which til today Gracie has yet to grasp. Gracie didn't like me at first... She kept lashing out at me the first few weeks she was here. (Hey, you were the one who started it! -- Gracie) (It's true, Chuwy was jealous and he kept harrassing Gracie -- Lynn). Oi, I'm the one telling the story and I'll tell it anyway I want to!! Like I was saying, she didn't like me and we used to fight a lot. But these days we've come to some sort of an understanding which is basically to stay out of each other's way. Gracie is slightly older and a lot uglier than me. It's true. Her fur is this ugly, uneven brownish-grayish colour. I guess that's why her pet humans didn't want her; a banshee is a thing a beauty compared to Gracie! She's also bigger than me which gives her an unfair advantage whenever we fight. What else, huh? Oh she snores when she sleeps, drools all over when she eats and has really bad breath... (Lies! Lies! Lies! -- Gracie). But even with all her bad points, it's kinda nice to have her around. At least I have someone else to bug besides Lynn. |
