Because I am a bum and I just do not want to know, I have read nothing in the Seed of Chucky movie except to know that it's coming out Halloween of 2004. I wanna be surprised when I go and see the movie. This makes it hard for me to bring you news and good information about the Seed of Chucky. It would involve a lot of copy and pasting of information, and that's just wrong...

A few years ago, when I was filling in this very same News section, I wrote up information on what was said about the next movie. The information came from the Bride of Chucky movie commentary that is located on the DVD. This information is dated, but these were the ideas for the movie way back in 1999:

On the Bride of Chucky DVD, under the commentary tracks, Don Mancini, Brad Dourif, and Jennifer Tilly talk a lot about the next movie. They call it the "Son of Chucky." The classic dysfunctional family movie. Some plans for the scenes are that Chucky takes the kid out one day to go kill something, making a "man" out of his boy, and his kid just can't do it and Chucky just gets exasperated. Jennifer Tilly suggested that Tiffany goes to Hollywood to get plastic surgery, threating the surgeon to do it or die. Another twist is that Tiffany becomes obsessed with Jennifer Tilly's body and wants to take over her soul. Interesting, no? The tag line is going to be something like "The Family That Slays Together, Stays Together."

As I said, some things have changed. What exactly has changed, other than the tag, I'm not sure of. Here is a list of facts that I do know:

• The movie is going to be called Seed of Chucky.
• Dourif and Tilly are returning as Chucky and Tiffany.
• It is hitting theaters Halloween of 2004.
• A child is going to be involved!
• The tag seems to be "Deliver Us Some Evil"
• Filming started on March 15, 2004
• The teaser trailer is now playing in theaters.
