Bride of Chucky

Chucky's back once again. This time, his old girlfriend Tiffany has brought him back from the dead. But, all is not well in paradise and Chucky kills Tiffany, turning her into a doll. Now, it's up to the two dolls to get to New Jersey to get the Heart of Damballa off of Chucky's rotted corpse so that they can get back into human bodies. They use the lovers Jesse and Jade to get them there, leaving several murdered corpses behind as they go.

The Chucky Source: Things sure have changed since Child's Play, back in 1988. Ten years later and somehow we've evolved from horror with a little comedy to a movie spilling over the brim with dark humor and a few shocks and thrills along the way. I really did enjoy this movie. I fell in love with it, right from the kick-ass intro. "Living Dead Girl" is now my favorite song (by Rob Zombie), and is also in another favorite movie of mine, The Crow: Salvation. Great deal. ;D The movie is well made, has a funny script, and I just love it to death. A lot of people do not share this same feeling with me, so I must be strange or something. The doll sex was a nice touch.

Story *contains spoilers*
It's several years after Chucky's last death. His ex-girlfriend, Tiffany, still has a huge thing for him. She obtains the shredded doll which Chucky last shared a life with and brings him back from the dead using a Voodoo for Dummies book. She realizes that having Chucky isn't all the great... Especially after finding out that the ring she found after his original death was not an engagement ring but something that Chucky had stolen. She cages him up. Tiffany throws a doll into his little cell with a necklace with the ring on it. While she takes a bath, Chucky uses the ring to saw his way free of his cage. He shoves a television into the bathtub and kills Tiffany. Then, he puts her soul into the female doll... And the Bride of Chucky was born.

Chucky wants to get to his body in Hackensack, New Jersey, so he can get an amulet that he was wearing the night he died. The amulet, the Heart of Damballa, will return him to his human form. To get there, Tiffany calls her neighbor, Jesse, and promises to give him money if he drives these dolls of hers to a friend in New Jersey. He plans to take the money and start a new life with his girlfriend, Jade.

When he gets the dolls and picks up Jade, Jade's guardian, Warren, tries to set up Jesse by putting weed in his van so that he can't leave with Jade. Chucky and Tiffany have other ideas. They fill his face with nails and shove him in the trunk. Jade and Jesse don't notice anything wrong when they come back.

Just as they leave, the other cop pulls them over, as expected. Chucky and Tiffany are not about to let some cop fuck with their lives so, in short, Chucky blows him up. Chaos ensues. Jesse and Jade escape, but not before being blamed for all of the death and destruction that occurs when Chucky blows up the police car. Jesse and Jade both thing the other was the one who killed the cop and they begin to distrust each other.

Jesse and Jade's friend David calls them. Turns out that there have been a string of deaths that relate to Jade and Jesse thanks to the work of Chucky. They run. They get married at a cheap chapel and spend the night at a cheap Honeymoon Suite where two cons try to rob them of their money. Tiffany sees this as going against what she views as right and wrong and she murders the con couple. Chucky sees this and begins to respect and love Tiffany. They get it on. Yeah, you heard me. Doll sex. Jade and Jesse find out about the murders and try to escape. Jade thinks Jesse killed the couple and Jesse thinks Jade killed the couple. But someone pounds on their window. It's David! He's shown up. And he tells them that he thinks that they're both innocent... But then he notices a horrible smell and finds Warren's dead body.

David finds Warren's gun as he begins to suspect Jade and Jesse of being killers. And then he pulls the gun on them and demands them to pull the van that they were driving in over. Chucky and Tiffany see it as their time to make their presence known and they also pull out guns. A startled David sees them, runs backward, and gets blown apart by a semi. Tiffany and Chucky force them to flee.

They end up stealing an RV (yup, killing the owners and leaving them in the closet). Chucky forces Jesse to drive onto the graveyard as they explain.

"How did you end up like this?"
"Well, it's a long story. In fact, if it was a movie, it would take three or four sequels just to do it justice."

They plan to use Jesse and Jade's bodies to transfer their souls over. As they near the graveyard, Chucky and Tiffany get into a fight and Jesse sees it as the time to crash the car. More chaos, more chaos! It all gets down to Chucky having Jade as a hostage and Jesse having an oven-baked Tiffany in his possession. Chucky forces Jade to go down into his grave and open his coffin, which was already being exhumed because someone found fingerprints that belonged to Charles Lee Ray (Chucky!) at one of the Jesse and Jade scenes. Chucky finally gets the Heart of Damballa.

Jesse shows up with a gun and there is a standoff. The two trade females. As Jesse and Jade kiss, Chucky throws a knife at Jesse and impales him. The two are captured and tied up. Chucky tries to work his voodoo magic, but he never quite finishes. Tiffany pulls a knife on him and they start to beat the hell out of each other. Jesse and Jade get free. Chucky stabs Tiffany all the way through and leaves her dying.

"Get off my knife."

Jesse sees this as his chance to hit Chucky with a shovel, sending him back into his grave... A cop shows up at the moment and witnesses the freaking out Chucky. Jade grabs the gun.

"Go ahead and shoot. I'll be back. I always come back! But dying is such a bitch!"

And Chucky gets shot to death. Jesse and Jade's names are clean once again... As the detectives are wandering around the scene, Lt. Preston finds Tiffany and pokes her charred body. A baby pops out, a nice, bloody baby... And... The End!
