| Heavy braking! Peter Revson drove this Lola T-163 Chevrolet in the 1969 Can-Am championship. Revson was heir to the Revlon fortune. He went to win the '71 title driving for McLaren. The T-163 could not keep up with the McLarens in '69. The Lola's rear wing is mounted to the rear axle and therefore moves independently of the body making for a unique visual experience when the car is in motion. Strut-mounted wings were banned after '69 due to safety concerns after multiple failures on Formula One cars. |
