Part two of Kids Vacation----

Let's see--Drove to Oshkosh.  In an interesting, telling moment, Julie arrived.  Got out of the car alone, adjusted the back seat, then walked over.  Karla stood behind me, with all three kids.  Chris stayed in their car.  Julie and I talked for a moment, and I told her where she could meet us that night.  She told me when she should be there.  I thought that was all good, then they left.

Odd, that Karla stood by me, but Chris didn't stand by Julie.  His wife.  Says something.  And don't take that wrong.  It isn't odd that Karla stood by me.  She was where she should have been.  Just that Chris stayed in the car when Julie was so obviously nervous.

Back to GB.  The four of us swam, and Karla and I went down the slides for the first time.  It was more fun than I expected.  Except for scraping my back on the ground.  Dunked Karla a few times too.  I really expected her to yell at me, but she took it in fun.  It was nice.  Then the kids argued about the water toys.  So we got dressed and drove to Appleton to meet Julie.  She had said 9:30.  We went to Toys R Us for the rings and then to IHOP.  Nearly went to Hooters instead, since both kids wanted to go there, and they love chicken wings, but we were meeting at IHOP, so there we went.  Food was ok.  Nothing spectacular though.

At 20 to 10, Julie called.  Said she'd asked Nathan if he could give her a reason to drop him off and he couldn't so she wouldn't.  So sweet of her!  One reason might have been to honor the agreement that we had.  But that evaded her a bit.  And I wasn't into arguing anymore.  She's hurting Nathan, but he'll remember in time, and it'll hurt her.

Though I thought at times Karla might hurt her.  Lol.

Back at the hotel, and bed.  Tried to watch Trading Spaces, but we all fell asleep before the end.

In the morning, Nathan called.  I told him we'd come after we checked out.  So we swam and played some more.  Megan and Shaun were much more comfortable in the water, and learning a little how to swim.  I'd love to teach them more, but we ran out of time.  We left to go get Nathan, called to make sure he was there, but there was no answer.  So we ate lunch.  I think the place was called Grazie's.  It was excellent.  YUM!  I had Tequila Lime Chicken Pasta.  Karla had Italian Sausage Pasta.  Both were great.

Still continuing . . .
