Part 3 . . . .

So, we finished our eats and drove to Ripon.  (There was way too much driving on this "vacation".)  Stopped at Nathan's house and sent Shaun to get him.  I wasn't about to stop in and visit with anyone there.  We drove back to GB and went to this Children's Musem place.  It was cool as a place to take a class full of kids, but not so much for a couple of parents and their brood of three.  And there was a bar just feet away.  But we made the most of it, and the kids lasted an hour before getting bored.

Then to Gameworld, which is Chuck E. Cheese with GoCarts.  We went on GoCarts first of all.  I passed Nathan twice, and everyone else once.  It was fun, but expensive so we only took the one trip.  Then we made the ill-advised choice of eating at "the pizza factory".  Yuck.  After we spent some time on the machines so the kids could get the worthless toys they have at these places.  Then it was time for everyone to go home.  I took Nathan back to Ripon and myself to Waukesha.

Couple other highlights--When I argued with Julie, both Megan and Shaun came over to give me hugs to make me feel better.  Later, while sitting at IHOP, they talked about their Dad and how glad they are that Karla met me.  Shaun asked how long we'd been dating, then said we'd probably date for 100 more years.  Wow.  After IHOP, when I was depressed because of the phone call, a Violent Femmes song came on, and I sang to it.  Shaun said he was glad the song came on, to cheer me up.  Such loving kids!

(If only Nathan didn't have to deal with his Mom all the time!!!!)

That's pretty much the weekend.  Monday was boring.  Tuesday at work was silly, but after I drove to Waukesha, picked up Art, dropped him off at work, then stoped by Ken's.  Met Darren, Marcus, Tom, and Ken.  Then we picked up Ed.  Off to the Brewers game in Suite 69.  A couple of others from the station were there including a few interns that captured Darren's attention all night.  The game was horrible.  12-3 loss.  But the food and drinks were good, and it was good to hang out with friends.

After we went back to Ken's and spent some time there playing video games, slot machines, etc.  I noticed the interns following Darren's car from the ballpark, but he didn't . . . he was a little upset about that--when he accidentally lost them.  Poor guy.

That was it!  Life in the big city.
