Thursday after work drove to Ripon to see Nathan play Baseball. His team won 11-1. Nathan had a couple of sac flies in the game. But the really amazing thing was the difference between him and the other players. He was the youngest, and easily the smallest. But he still made the team. That's impressive. Spent most of the game talking to his mom. Found out she has been sharing opinions of Karla with Nathan that are inappropriate. I left it alone with her, and just talked to Nathan about it later. We left after the game and drove back to Waukesha. Blech. There we played on the computer a little, then went to bed. Way too late.
Woke early Friday to realize I forgot to do laundry. So I threw in a load and revised my travel plans to include a drive back to Waukesha instead of just leaving from work. It added too much time really, to a weekend that was short by any standards.
Got to Green Bay. We went swimming, well, the kids did. K and I just watched for awhile. Then we drove to the Bayfest fireworks. They cost about $25 including parking. Not cool. The fireworks were nice though, and aside from Nathan throwing a hissy fit, it was a pretty good time. The drive back to the hotel was a bitch though. Too slow!!
Saturday we got up and went to our free breakfast. It was pretty good though the kids made odd choices. Cinnamon Roll and Bacon?? Then to Bay Beach for the 20 cent rides. But first a phone call and argument with my ex.
She wanted Nathan to go to a graduation party that night. I had agreed to it when I thought Nathan wanted to go, but when I found out that he didn't want to go, I called and told her that she couldn't have him back. We argued, and she said she'd call the cops on me for kidnapping if I didn't bring him back. Since that would ruin EVERYONE's weekend, I decided to do it. Nathan called and cried and cried to her, but got nowhere. Karla wanted to talk to her too, but I didn't see that working out, except to piss someone off more. Though I think I would have enjoyed it.
We had fun at Bay Beach on the rides, except the Scat which made me a bit sick. (Not literally, Thank You). The Scrambler was my favorite, though I got a little smushed.
After that, and some food, we drove Nathan to Oshkosh to meet his Mom. I didn't plan well and we arrived a half hour early. Took some fun pics of the kids on cows.
