| News of the day. Stupidvisor came out to explain her vacation and her appointment of Vicki as interim stupidvisor. No one said a thing, but she asked me if I had a comment because she thought I was snickering. Funny. As soon as she left, the person to my left turned to me and said, "Did She EVEN ask you??" Everyone was looking at me, and I smiled and said no. Moments later the stupidvisor reappeared and was accosted by everyone clamoring to have her reconsider. Her response was to talk to HER supervisor. Interesting. She said that no matter who she had chosen someone would have had a problem with it, but the people here--which was everyone but the actual choice, said that they had a person in mind and they all agreed. Me. An ego boost there, but at the same time, why wasn't I chosen? Instead a person I trained 6 months ago, who doesn't work a full week ever, and tells on . . . ah ha! Tells. That could be telling, couldn't it? Anyway, that was work. What fun. Here's a little exercise----stealing a line from someone else's poem, and trying to do something with it--make my own work out of it: Of winter love and ivory thighs Of winter love and ivory thighs Snowbound trees and subtle sighs Mysteries hidden behind her eyes . . . Fire blazing on the hearth Wrapped in blankets, eachothers arms Making love beneath the stars . . . Whispering words of our love Snows falling from above Her skin as soft as angels . . . Lost in her eyes, her lips, her arms Holding eachother before the warmth Of the fire, beneath the snows . . . C |
