I can write about this weekend just past, and then I'll be mostly up to date. I think.
Drove up north after work Friday. Had hoped to take Nathan with, but he never answered the phone all week, nor returned any of my calls. So after an extremely boring day at work I left for Menominee.
A little past Green Bay, my phone rings. Nathan calling to ask where I was! Now, yes it was my weekend, but with Julie being as erratic as she is, I never know if they'll be home or not, or if things will be changing, so that's why I called all week. When he never called back I thought him out of town. And he was out of town. In Minnesota, until 4 that day. The same time I left work. If only he had called me then. By the time he did call it would have added nearly 4 hours to the drive, AND Ripon had a tornado warning that I'd have to drive through. So, I explained to Nathan that I'd get him in the morning, or the next two weekends.
He yelled at me and said I should have been smart and just stopped by. Grrrr!!
Enough of that though. He didn't come and will next weekend and the weekend after. And the two weeks I have vacation in July and August.
Got to Menominee to Karla having made Chinese and bought some wine. Ah!! Got to love that woman. So we had chinese and wine. The kids each had a friend over and we tried to watch Charlotte's Web 2, but the only kid that really watched was the oldest boy who had said it was a girly movie. HA! The kids went to bed and Karla and I stayed up and tried to watch 25 hours. The movie was a bit slow for me that night, but we finished it Saturday and I found the I liked it a lot in the end. Just a little slow.
The kids both slept over at friends houses on Saturday. Karla was at work. I spent the time installing smoke detectors, watching a movie, and imagining a rec room in the basement. With a work out area, a tv area, and a pool table. It could be cool, very cool. There is so much room down there, and it's nice and dry!
Sunday, went to the park with the kids twice, crashed K's bike, screwed up my leg, and needed a nap. Had good polish sausage, and spent quality time with the kids. Some time with K as well, but not enough. Life!
