I mean last Sunday, not this one!
Woke up, went to the buffet again. Me drinking a ton of liquids to replace whatever I'd lost the night before. I thought I drank apace of Karla, but in the end it seemed like I'd had 3 or 4 more beers than her. No idea how that happened. But it made for a good sleep.
Woke up well--but I won't go into that.
Sooo the buffet was nice. We drove up the Lakefront after that had tried find the lighthouse, but I couldn't remember where it was. Still a nice walk though. Then to Downer Avenue where the restaurant I wanted to go to was still gone. I think I made that same mistake a year ago. I really have to work on my memory a bit. Or visit these areas more often.
Ended up eating a Reuben Bagel at Edison's Bagels. That was pretty good, and the chocolate chunk cookie was an excellent dessert. We left there and Karla wanted to see a movie so we went to see the Matrix Reloaded.
It's rare for me, but I actually wanted the movie to have more action. The actual dialogue portions bored me a bit out of my mind, especially since they made little sense. You have a choice, but you've already made the choice, so you don't get the choice, and I already know what you've chosen. So do you want the candy or not??
Back at the hotel, hot tub, pool, somersaults in the pool. Then to the room, Karla for a shower, me to get Chinese and a card game to play. Came back, candles were lit, we ate chinese, drank wine and played Phase 10. I tried to teach Karla cribbage, but she wasn't having any. It was sort of funny. We drank some champagne we'd brought and went to bed.
I wrote about Monday before, and may have gotten a few things confused in this entry a week late, but I wanted to write it all down, because I had a very nice weekend, and wanted to be able to remember it a year from now. It's nice to be able to look back a year at these entries and see the beginnings of Karla's and my friendship. That first weekend we met, etc.
