Why does Java take so long to download? And why does the writing on here look strange to me now, but when I look at it on the site, it looks fine? Big questions! Lol.
Anyway--the 6th is what I'm supposed to be writing about . . . .
Went to work from Menominee. Left there at 5:40, about an hour later than I had been leaving due to my new work start time. Stopped in Oconto as usual for gas and a gigantic soda. Didn't really even speed, and I got to work an hour early. That's no good. I went to the union and stopped at the bank to pay a bill, went back to work. Still way too early. Anyway, now I know for the future--I can probably spend an extra 45 minutes in bed! Yippee!!
Work was nothing special . . .
Got home after work, Mom had a coupon for Culver's, wanted to know if I wanted to go. Noooo. Of course I went. Good burger for free. Talked a little about my new idea for K's house--did I write about that? Removing the main door to the master bedroom, and opening the closet up to the staircase, so there is more light and openness there. I'd build closets along the master bedroom wall where the old entrance was. This would provide a more attractive entrance to the second floor, an easier way to provide privacy for Megan and Nathan's bedrooms, and a bit of soundproofing between the kids rooms and ours. And, at least as far as opening the closet up to the stairs, it's the way it used to be. That will provide another window for the stairs, so more natural light, and it will get rid of the bulk of the narrow hallway topping the stairs. I could use the door there for Megan's room, and the old door leading into the kitchen would be moved over to use as an entrance for Nathan's room. All I need to is get a couple dozen studs, some drywall for most of the work. Then more railing and spindles and such for the landing area, and a new door for the master bedroom. I want to do this NOW! Lol. Very excited.
Anyway--got back and watched Monster House, Monster Garage, American Chopper and Monday Night Football. Man, the last five minutes of that was fun to watch. Anytime Tampa loses, I am happy!
