| Cultures: Cultures are shipped a variety of ways depending on the type of culture. Microworm starters are put in a zip lock baggy and then placed in a bubbled envelope for protection. Larger cultures are placed in a box stuffed with newspaper for protection. Vinegar eels and other 'wet' cultures are put in the same type of bags as the bettas are and placed in a small box stuffed with newspaper for protection. Soil cultures, such as white worms and grindel worms, are placed in small containers with tiny holes poked in the top. Starters are put in large bubbled envelopes while larger cultures are placed in boxes stuffed with newspaper for protection. I do not ship in the winter. In the case that the temperature in your area seems to extreme to me I will not ship. I ship by USPS Priority 2 day with live arrival guarantee. Once you receive your culture it is up to you to know how to care for it. There are no refunds for cultures that do not make it after arrival. I am not responsible for those who didn't do their homework before deciding to buy a culture. If your culture should arrive late you can make a claim with the USPS to get back the shipping charges. I can not refund or replace culture. Remember that shipping is still at your own risk. Live arrival guarantee only applies to packages that arrived on time. I will, however, be kind enough to replace the culture if you pay for shipping. If you paid for a SMALL starter culture, expect to receive a SMALL starter. Starter cultures are sent in small amounts. My cultures are very hardy and very prolific. The starters will grow quickly and be ready to feed very soon. My microwom starter cultures have been know to be harvestable within 24 hours.
