| Plants: Plants are in perfect health before being put on Aquabid or the sale page of this web site. The plant(s) is double bagged a little less than half covered with water with the rest of the bag filled with air. The bag will be placed in an insulated box filled with packaging peanuts or newspaper to keep the bag from moving around within the box. If the temperature is cold a heat pack will be placed in the box for a small charge. In the case that the temperature in your area seems to extreme to me I will not ship with or without heat pack. In the dead of summer, if the temperatures are too high, I will not ship. Plants tend to ship much much better in cooler weather. I ship by USPS Priority 2 day (at your own risk) and overnight Express with a healthy on arrival guarantee. Shipping is most definitely at your own risk. I do everything I can to make sure your plants ship as safely as possible. However, stuff happens. After I leave them at the USPO things are out of my control. I will do my best to help you out but, depending on the situation, I may not be able to do much. I currently ship all year round, Mondays thru Wednesdays only. I will not ship any later to avoid the package getting 'stuck' somewhere over the weekend. Arrival is one to two days. You must be there to sign for the package. If you are not there I am not responsible for any resulting damage. I guarantee a healthy arrival with overnight Express shipping only. In case of damage you must return the box with the damaged plant(s) in the UNOPENED bag to get a refund for the price of the plant(s). I can not refund shipping charges. Will not refund price of plants you recieved healthy with the shipment. You can not return them with the damaged one. So if say, one of the plants is damaged, you can not return the others because you don't want them anymore. If damage occurred duing 2 day shipping you are out of luck. At your own risk means 'at your own risk.' You will receive no refund. If your shipment happened to arrive late you can make a claim with the USPS to get the shipping charges back. If it should result in the damage of the plant(s) I will be kind enough to replace the plants (if available) if you pay shipping. I can not replace it. Healthy arrival guarantee only applies to packages that arrive on time. I do what I can to help buyers out when things go wrong, but I can not take on all responsibility for everything that happens. Please do not expect plant to pop out of the bag looking like a photograph. Shipping is stressful and the plant may look weak, dull in color, and wilty with some browned, brown speckled, or loose leaves when it first arrives (more common in warm weather). Plants shipped in cooler weather tend to look best when recieved. Your plant(s) will perk up, color up, and grow normally as soon as it gets over the stress it suffered during shipping and begins to grow new roots and settle in your aquarium. Once you receive the plant(s) it is up to you to know how to care for it. There are no refunds for plants that become ill after arrival. I am not responsible for owners who didn't do their homework before deciding to buy plants. You can find all the information you need to properly raise aquatic plants on the web. Careful when opening the box so as not to damage it. If possible I appreciate it when buyers return the box so that I can reuse them over and over. Send it back to the same address. SHIPPING RATES: Priority Mail (summer months only) = $12 per bunch* of plants, $1 per extra bunch* Overnight Express (used year round) = $20 per bunch* of plants, $2 per extra bunch* No other shipping options are available at this time. *Bunch reffers to a bundle containing about five clippings depending on the size of the species. Swords and other large planst are considered the same as a bunch because they equal in size. |
