10/24/05 Talking? For the past couple weeks, Aaron, Mitchell, and Jake have started imitating us when we say certain words like: Tractor (Jake is getting pretty clear when he says this) Upstairs (Mitchell loves saying both upstairs and downstairs and they all fully understand when we say either one because they head right for the stairs) Downstairs Outside Truck Other tidbits... They are all getting better with their sign language with the exception of Aaron who usually refusses to sign instead will just wait until mom or dad do it and then laugh. Jake still hates having his diaper changed! He gets so crabby when he knows it is diaper time and hates being on his back. Mitchell goes in for his "stye" or infection in his eye on November 8th. Hopefully the optomitrist can correct the problem.

10/27/05 Early Trick or Treating The boys went to their first Halloween party today. It was put on by the MVMOM (Minnesota Valley Mothers of Multiples) group which Chrissy is a member of. They wore their Bumble Bee costumes and seemed to like them. There were other "Bee Hives" there too so it wasn't the easiest trying to find the ones that belonged to us when they were all running all over. They seemed fascinated by the other kids in their costumes.

10/28/05 Mitchell's eye We were able to get an earlier appointment for Mitchell at the optomitrist. Dr. Freeman said that it is a chylasian cyst and that it isn't hurting anything and not affecting Mitchell's vision but if we feel that it should be removed than we can schedule a surgery date to have it removed/clean out. So we will probably schedule an appointment after the holidays for the surgery.

10/31/05 Trick or Treat? We all went trick or treating this year! The boys didn't get mom and dad much candy because we were only going around to friends and neighbor's houses to just say hi. They rode around in their Choo Choo wagon and had a lot of fun even though it was pretty cold outside. Check out their pictures from the trick or treating!

12/7/05 Misc... Back in teh middle of November we started AMJ on spoons and plates/bowls for eating. Mitchell really got the hang of it right away and did great with his applesauce. Jake and Aaron didn't quite know what to think of the whole spoon thing. Aaron managed to get it in his mouth with food on it not too many days after Mitchell did. Jake is still trying to figure it all out. Jake just doesn't like anything but the actual food going into his mouth so the spoon thing is a no-no right now although Matt said that Jake did eat cereal the toehr day fairly good with his spoon sohe may be catching on. In the past few weeks the Busload (AMJ) started copying mom when she galloped aroudn the house so since then they have been "galloping on demand." Dad started calling it "dancing" in teh past couple days but I think that is just because he doesn't really know how to dance and thinks that is dancing. Anyway, every night when it is bedtime they watch their baby einstein video an dhave their cup of milk. After the video is over they head off to bed. I unbuckle them from their rockers and they jump up and run towards their bedroom If I forget to take down teh gate to their room they wait patiently by their doorway until I move the gate. Once the gate is gone they rush in like shoppers on teh day after Thanksgiving and start galloping or "dancing." They giggle and run around their cribs like it is a new found territory. they often fall and giggle more when one of the others falls/climbs on them. We actually took a video of this the other night. On Saturday, December 3rd we went to breakfast with Santa put on by the Lions Club in Norwood. It was pretty good. Good thing we had our neighbors to help us. We pretty much knew that Mitchell would be fine on either Santa's or Mrs. Claus' lap but we didn't think the other two would like getting close to either one of them. It was our trun and we headed up to where Mr. and Mrs. Claus were sitting and I put Mitchell on Mrs. claus' lap and he just sat their on sucked his thumb. Aaron didn't even want to go near Santa and Jake was unsure also. AMJ each got a bag of gifts and we decided to head home soon after so they could take their naps before a long day of shopping.
