9/16/05  15 Month Checkup:

Their checkup went well.  They got their 15 month shots and are doing well with the exception of their weight.  They definately need to eat more but there isn't much more we can do about that except keep giving them higher calorie foods like we have been since they started solids.  They do love fruit which is what Chrissy ate a lot of when she was pregnant.  They also love their real milk (we have been off formula for a month or so now).

9/19/05  Recent updates:
There are a few things Aaron, Mitchell, and Jake have learned in the past month.

They have begun to use sign language.  Their first word they learned to sign was "MORE."  They use this when they would like more food.  Mitchell caught on fairly quickly and is using it all the time.  Jake was the second to pick it up and does a little different variation of the sign.  Aaron just recently picked it up and is using it most of the time.  They also know "MILK" but don't sign it very much.  They think their sign for milk it whining.  The third word we are working on is "EAT."  We are hoping that they can catch on to this soon.  It is pretty fun to watch them sign.

AMJ have mastered climbing up and down the stairs.  They get so excited when the gate opens because they know they are either going outside or for a ride.  All three walk to the beginning of the steps and get down on their hands and knees to go down the steps.  Aaron likes to slide down on his belly, feet first, taking out those below.

Aaron has started "kissing."  He loves to kiss Mom and Dad with his mouth wide open!  He fully understands what it means and when asked by Mom or Dad he will smile and come at us with his mouth wide open for a big wet kiss!

Mitchell loves to clap his hands when someone, especially him, does something exciting.

AMJ have also started fighting a lot, mainly over toys.  For some reason Jake thinks it is ok to just take things away from the other two while they are using it.  Needless to say screams erupt and mini-tantrums start.  We think they have begun the sibling rivelry.

During the day today Jake learned to kiss Dad.  When Mom got home from work Jake also had a kiss for her.  Mitchell must have felt left out so he too started kissing.  Jake and Mitchell's kisses aren't as wide open mouthed as Aaron's but still just as cute!

Before their video tonight, Mithchell started picking up his toys to help Mom.  Mom would give him a toy and ask him to put it in the box and he would go right to the box and put it in there and then come back to Mom for another toy to put away.

Also tonight they started blowing kisses.  Mom started by blowing kisses and they all put their hands to their mouths and made a smacking noise with their mouths.
