1/16/05 7 months have really flown by! Aaron, Mitchell and Jake turned 7 months old today. (Click here for pictures). In the past few weeks a few things have changed. Aaron got his first cold right after Christmas and battled it pretty well but ended up with an ear infection but was treated with antibiotics. He is now doing just fine. A few weeks ago all three started eating from a spoon. They are eating oatmeal and fruit - they like the fruit a lot better than the oatmeal. The are smiling, giggling, and "chatting" - sometimes with each other - a lot now and are so entertaining. |

1/31/05 It finally happened! Jake and Mitchell are getting their first tooth! Jake's bottom front left tooth is coming in. It just broke through this afternoon (he was really crabby during his afternoon nap). Mitchell's bottom front left tooth is coming in too and has also broke through. Since Mitchell is a little more fussy more often we aren't sure when it actually broke through today. As far as we can tell Aaron's is not coming in yet but we will keep watching! |

2/16/05 Time must be flying because we are all having fun! The boys turned 8 months old today. They are changing so fast now and learning every day. Aaron loves to get on his hands and knees and rock back and forth. Some day soon he is just going to take off! Mitchell still does not sit still. He rolls to get to everything! He still loves his "walks" with mom or dad. He likes to hang on to our fingers and show us around the house as he leads the way walking very quickly. Jake also likes to get on his hands and knees and rock back and forth. It will be a race to see who crawls first. Once Mitchell starts crawling or walking I am not sure we won't see much of him because he is so quick already. Jake and Mitchell now have their two bottom front teeth. Mitchell had a harder time with teething than Jake did but we all got through these first two so we will see how the next ones come along. Aaron has decided to wait and just watch the others go through the teething process. (Click here for 8 mo pictures) |

2/26/05 Well they are off...
Aaron has been "rocking" back and forth on his hands and knees for a couple weeks now. Within the last week he has been pretty daring and has started to take a few crawls forward. Once he falls he does a little army crawl to get to what he wants in front of him. He gets to things quite a bit quicker than he used to.
Mitchell went from "rocking" back and forth on his hands and knees today to taking a few crawls forward. Then not too long later he too was army crawling!
Jake isn't sure yet if he wants to get around quickly or not. He too, like Aaron, has been "rocking" back and forth on his hands and knees for a week or so but just isn't as "daring" as the other two. I am sure he will learn fairly quickly though because now the other two can easily crawl over steal his toys and crawl away. |

3/9/05 Jake is now mobile!
Jake started crawling today! He used to just rock back and forth but just couldn't get his hands and legs to coordinate with each other but today he figured it out. We think he was getting tired of the other two stealing his toys and then running away.
All three are now pulling themselves up on the bigger toys so they can sit on their knees and play. Mitchell really loves to sit this way. Jake still is very content if we set him down sitting up. He just loves to sit up and watch everyone. Aaron loves to crawl all over and find new things to play with. It is just so fun to watch them get around now. They are starting to get hair on the backs of their heads - they used to wiggle and roll around so much that it just wouldn't fill in. Now that they are upright mobile it is starting to fill in. |

3/14/05 Another day, another adventure...
Over the weekend Mitchell started pulling himself up in his crib so he could sit on his knees. He couldn't get his legs apart far enough because of his fleece sleeper bag. Today when Matt went into pick him up after a little "time out" he was standing against the side of the crib. He also started pulling himself up to the window in the front of the house upstairs and likes to look out. Aaron also decided to get adventurous (actually he was eyeing a piece of paper) and pulled himself up to the couch also today. They are getting more and more daring everyday.
Wednesday is their 9mo birthday and checkup. Stay tuned for weight updates and pictures. |

3/15/05 Well the boys had their first sleep over somewhere else. We went to Grandma San and Grandpa Jer's house because Mom had a dinner with her other triplet/quad/quint moms and dad went out with some of his college friends. They did very well just as if they were at home.
Also today, Aaron fingured out how to go from crawling to sitting. Yet another big milestone! |
