That Social 'Thang'
It goes without saying that we've had our share of gatherings over the past year. Kathy Santha our Social Chair has kept her promise and us busy with a variety of events. In July a group of sisters and their mates found themselves on a 25 km (that's about 16 miles!) bicycle quest through the Hillebrand vineyards in Niagara-on-the-Lake. Perhaps the wine, chocolate and Champagne had something to do with it - but this is sure to become an annual event! Our 2nd Annual Sisterhood Retreat took place in Burk's Falls (thanks to Laura Williams and her family for the use of their cottage!). The rainy October weather by no means dampened the spirits of the 9 women in attendance - it was a weekend to remember. Then there was also the Cirque du Soleil outing and visit to the Toronto Zoo - all this in the past 6 months. Oh, and let's not forget our Christmas 'shin dig' in Oakville at the King's Arms. Have we whet your appetite yet? (... we guarantee there's always a comforting amount of food present at our gatherings) See what's in store for 2000 and we'll see you there!!

Tuesday 14th ~
Aquatic Kickboxing: What a way to get into bikini shape! Join Mia Manson & Melanie Waring Chapman at the Tansley woods Pool in Burlington @ 8:30 p.m. We hear there's a hot tub to relax in afterwards. The first class is free, so what have you got to loose?
Saturday 18th~
Progressive Eucre: Mia & Pete are hosting a eucre night. No need to be a pro - bring some munchies and have a blast. Please RSVP to Mia Manson since the 'numbers' need to be even (doesn't have to be boy/girl teams necessarily)
Monday 27th ~
McMillan & Regal Orders Due: Please contact Anna Dicesare by phone, fax or email today at the latest with your McMillan cookie & meat orders. The Convention Fund is coming along nicely - but we need your help in reaching our target. With BBQ season around the corner, what a great idea to offer a selection of meats in addition to our classic cookie dough. You can pick-up your orders at IRD - don't forget to bring a cooler :).

Glamour Shots: Mia Manson is hosting a Glamour Shots Party at her home. Look like a movie star and let yourself be pampered. Please give Mia a call or send her an email to let her know you are interested. Bring a friend, your mother, your sisters ~ the invitation is open to all!
Saturday 15th ~
IRD (International Reunion Day): Melanie Waring Chapman is again graciously hosting this year's celebration of our sisterhood. We'll get started at 11 o'clock sharp - well, we're going to try really hard to start on time!! With officer installation, food, awards' presentations, food, picking up your McMillan cookie and meat orders, food, picking up your Regal orders and some more food - time truly is of the essence. And let's not forget the necessary amounts of socializing that will need to be fitted in as well. RSVP to Lisa Keleher and please let Mel know what you'll bring for the potluck. See you there!
