They let the grease spell wear off, they slowly proceeded into the room. Sparsely furnished, there was but one other egress. Again, Shenya took the lead in terms of stealth, and would have been okay had she tried a little harder to be quiet. Instead, she accidentally kicked a stone on the floor, alerting other creatures in the cave to her presence. As it turns out, as Shenya neared the end of a long hallway, a group of gnolls stepped out from their hiding spot, and began to approach Shenya. Thinking that she was alone, the nasty, hyena-faced creatures took their time closing in on Shenya. As she backed up, she tripped on the stone that she had kicked earlier, and fell back on her duff. The gnolls saw the advantages, and grinned with glee at the potentially new victim for their �boss�.

What they did not expect was the Shenya, still on the ground and attempting to retreat without making any sudden moves, was leading the dim-witted creatures straight into another trap. Both Killian and Duh had heard the growling of the creatures, and figured that Shenya had found someone. However, since they did not hear a cry for help or a distress call, they assumed that Shenya would lead whatever she had encountered back into the room, where they waited patiently. Their waiting paid off.

The gnolls did not expect any resistance from the one helpless creature that was on the ground and attempting to retreat from them as quickly as possible while still on the ground. What they also didn�t expect was that three very well armed adversaries quietly awaited their approach. The slaughter was that which the group had never experienced before, and a new sense of power and pride coursed through each one of them.

After dispatching the gnolls, Shenya proceeded back down the corridor. Duh suggested that she let her �bells� hang freely and make noise, mentioning that the bells couldn�t be any louder than Shenya was without them.

�You watch yourself, fat-boy,� Shenya remarked, waving a pointed finger at Duh�s midriff before turning away. Killian laughed behind her back, and even Arris could not hide his chuckle at Duh�s attempt at humor. The others thought it good fun, but Shenya flashed a look at Duh that would have frozen a medusa. As she turned though, a smile came to her face as she realized how much she appreciated Duh�s lighthearted nature.
