FORGOTTEN LEGENDS - Episode II - Duvik's Mine
As Shenya continued to pepper the living corpse of the zombie with dagger upon dagger, Teemtos badger held his own. Scrapes, scratches, and many bites later, the zombie fell down, barely missing the small mammal before he disappeared back to the celestial plane from whence he was summoned. Teemto continued to observe the area, adding assistance with his crossbow as he saw fit. In fact, Teemto became so accurate and deadly with his crossbow that Shenya commented to him, hey, you look like THE MOST POWERFUL ARCHER IN THE WORLD. Teemto could not help but laugh at the joke at his expense, but he was grateful for the compliment from the sometimes cynical Shenya nonetheless.

Duh and the orc continued to hammer away at each other, attempting to find a weak spot in each others abilities. But they were both evenly matched, as blows were exchanged. However, what Duh did not know was that the beast also had the power of his god, Gruumsh, on his side. He stepped back slightly to give him the room necessary to cast a spell that would have literally stopped Duh in his tracks. He was completely oblivious to what happened next. Killian, swinging Castigs greatsword with tremendous speed and power that caused his muscles to ache and his veins to bulge, caught the orc squarely between the fourth and fifth rib. The sword sliced so far into its body that it nearly severed him in two, instead stopping at the spine.

Green blood and bile filled intestines flew everywhere, exploding as though someone had dropped week-old haggis from a third story window onto pavement. The scene was disgusting, but both Duh and Killian recovered quickly. Each then went off in separate directions to dispatch the remaining two zombies who were still running away from Arriss initial assault of heavenly justice. Without hesitation, Shenya slinked her way over to Big Bad Guy, now nothing more than a pile of bones and rotting flesh. Killian, who had always been observant of Shenya without Shenya knowing it, returned to the area, and leaned over her shoulder. Whatcha got there?

Shenya admitted to having found a few things that looked valuable, although she did manage to hide a few things in her pouch without anyone noticing (not even the ever-observant Killian). At this point, Killian was more interested in the large, two handed mace that the orc had been wielding so efficiently against Duh. He liked it, and it fit nicely in his hands. Satisfied, at least for the moment, Killian walked over to the underground stream. What had once been nothing more than a stagnant pool of disease infested water (clearly the cause of the plague that had been plaguing the town) was immediately a fresh running stream. Killian placed his hands in the water, drank a small amount, and quickly felt refreshed. Any sense of nausea or tiredness that the others had felt melted away just as easily.
