| FORGOTTEN LEGENDS - Episode II - Duvik's Mine | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The interference of the zombies meant very little to the party, but to the kobold whom had been dragged into the charnel pit of zombies, it was the last that he could handle. The plague that was ravishing the town clearly had it origins deep within the recesses of the mine, as the kobold succumbed to the disease within moments of being cast aside. He was now nothing more than a lifeless carcass. Shenya saw possibilities that most people would have considered vile. She picked up the kobold once again, and this time, the group moved forward. Killian noticed that the hallway on the other side of the pit was somewhat different. The hallway soon opened up into a much larger cavern, nearly twice the size of the first, larger cavern the party had come upon earlier. But it was empty, save for an underground stream along the back Killian thought it odd that it was empty, but both he and Duh sensed that something was wrong. Without hesitation, Duh broke out into a wild rage, driven partly by exasperation that Big Bad Guy was nowhere to be found, and party from the disease that was slowly beginning to run its course through his body. Screaming, he ran headlong into the room, oblivious to any potential trap or mishap that may suddenly befall him. Quickly, and rather suddenly, a large massive orc jumped out from behind one of the many stalagmites that littered the room. He too screamed at the sudden appearance of Duh and his bellow awoke another group of zombies in the room. Duh skidded along the dirt floor and nearly fell over attempting to stop himself before barreling head first into the massive beast. He soon took a shot to his head with a weapon wielded by the orc that nearly dwarfed his massive sword. However, he was not affected, as his battle rage had set upon him, providing unusual strength and resilience. Without hesitation, either in his actions or his faith, Arris cried once again for aid from Ehlonna. Cast away these demons of undead, and cleanse this room of the taint of evil! Arriss cries of glorious battle honor against the hordes of undead were invigorating to all those in the room, and each person reacted quickly and efficiently. Teemto decided that discretion was the better part of valor, and decided that a simple summon spell would be most effective his badger took his place of honor at the foot of one of the zombies, clawing away at the beast. Shenya threw the dead kobold at the feet of yet another zombie in an attempt to distract him. And Killian, seeing the imminent danger that Duh had placed himself in, quickly ran to fight along side the massive intellectual.
