FORGOTTEN LEGENDS - Episode I - The Plague
However, with great battle prowess, and fierce determination, the group dispatched the dog-like creatures and their smelly leader. As they proceeded into the mine, they came upon the main chamber. In there, they found another body. Only this time, the only part visible was from the waist down. It appeared to have been crushed under the weight of one of the mining carts. A few ingots of the precious silver that was part of the minerals that made this mine so famous, were carelessly strewn around the floor.

Killian and Duh began to lift the mine cart off of the severed body in an attempt to find out how he got there. Little did they know that the body was placed there with purpose and reason by the new denizens of the mine. A loud, thunderous gong rang through the entire chamber, deafening all those who could not prevent the sound from tearing apart their eardrums. The gong also managed to alert another group of kobolds in a chamber just north of where the party was. Only a wooden door separated the party from more kobolds

Shenya, with great skill in the arcane arts, quickly manipulated the door open from a distance. Seeing kobolds again, Killian and Duh rushed in. Again, Teemto tried to quickly fire off a succession of powerful spells that would have rendered the kobolds helpless against the group, but to no avail. He just could not remember exactly how that prismatic spray spell worked. He had always thought that it was second nature for him to cast some of the most powerful spells that sorcerers could know, but it was all for naught. He would have to read up a little more on the procedures. In a bit of a panic, Teemto had to resort to a ray of frost sort of like throwing an ice cube at your opponent.

Quickly, Duh and Killian engaged the creatures, who were again led by another hobgoblin. This time, Killian received help from a small, celestial badger Teemto had figured out how to cast a smaller, lesser known spell. However, after helping out to dispatch the hobgoblin and leaving the other kobolds to the rest of the group, the badger smelled something far more sinister down another hallway.

As the rest of the group tried to engage the vicious canine creatures, Teemto began feeling a burning sensation on his leg, in about the same area as where he had put his purple crystal. The badger continued forward, scraping and biting at all the kobolds for as long as he could. Quickly, a kobold ran back into the room, and kicked a stone. This alerted a zombie, who was hiding behind some barrels, half asleep.
