FORGOTTEN LEGENDS - Episode I - The Plague
The zombie was not a typical automaton looking for anything to eat he was out for the antithesis of all that he represented the Cleric. Annis quickly raised his holy symbol of St. Cuthbert, crying out In the name of the one and holy St. Cuthbert, I send you back to the abode of hell, you denizen of evil! The zombie shrieked in horror, turning back and heading to his previous hiding place.

At the same moment, Duh rushed forward, and in a wide, upward swing of his mighty greataxe, he connected squarely with one of the kobolds, sending him into the air. The hapless kobold landing directly in front of the retreating zombie, who began eating the kobold as though it was his last meal.

It was, in fact, his last meal, as Duh charged once again headlong into the zombie. The maddened barbarian severed the zombie in two, rendering him dead once again.

Once they were finished dispatching all of the beasts and fiends, they began to look around for items of value, and possibly some information about the lost miners. What they did not plan on was for Killian to arouse a dire weasel, who was waiting underneath a pile of worn and tattered clothes and blankets. The dire weasel jumped at Killian, almost biting him and inflicting great amounts of pain with his massive maw.

Duh growled viciously at the dire weasel, attempting to intimidate the dread creature into submission. Alas, his attempt failed, as the weasel quickly bit on to the arm of Duh, effecting rendering his left arm useless as the weasel latched on with great ferocity. However, in a mighty swing if his greatsword, Killian severed the dire weasel in twain, thus loosening its grip on Duh.

As they continued to poke around, all the while being more cautious in their efforts than Killian was initially, the party did manage to find some various trinkets of value and a few vials of liquid most likely potions of some sort. But there was no information to be found. I guess we killed our only source of information, most likely, uttered Arris. The group concurred, and decided that after looking around a bit more, it was time to move on. They retreated their steps, and began their long descent into the lower levels of the mine.

Come back next time to see how the adventurers fair, as they continue on their investigation of the Duvik Pass Mines.
