Seelage Ost

 

2.S-Flottille is transferred to O.d.Ost for operations in the Kattegat.

Light surcface units under the command of O.d.Ost for training operations can be used for short anti-merchant operations in the Kattegat.

 

M-boats support german troops at Hela. Stuka-squadron 4/186 attacks successfully enemy HQ and ammo depot in the Hexengrund.

 

 

Seelage West

 

Several sources report british submarines and surface units around Norway.

 

SS “Bramden” (1594t) hits a mine off Dunkirk. 3 crewmembers die.

 

U27 sinks a small british vessel in the Lewis bight

U48 arrives in Kiel with 14800t success.

U52 returning position small Belt

U41 returning position Deutsche Bucht.

U33 sinks the british steamer “Arkelside” (1567t), Tyne to Gibraltar, by gunfire west of Ushart.

U31 sinks the steamer “AVIEMORE”  (4060 BRT) of convoy OB4.
