U29 sinks the britsh carrier “Courageous” south
west of Ireland (c 50-00'N, 15-00'W). On anti-U-boat patrol with destroyer screen
in Western Approaches to British Isles; 514 men lost from crew of 1,260. U29
reports to return home (FT.1819)
Minelaying operations in the Northsea by Minelayers “Kobra”, “Danzig” and
6.T-Flottille in
the southeastern Warnarea.
U36 is attacked by torpedoes of unidentified
enemy submarine.
Situation Baltic-sea:
Due
to the bad weather merchant warfare and blockade of Danzig has to be stopped.
Gruppe Eberhard is fighting in Gdingen harbor
in the line Amerika-Kai – Free-harbor
opposite of Oxhöfter Kämpe.
Stuka-squadron drops leaflets during the
afternoon.
Minesweepers search the area Leuchttonne
Stutthoff to Pillau down to 20m without result.

The polish submarine “Orzel” escaped
from the estnic harbor Reval without its commander who is in hospital. The
guards were kidnapped. 6 torpedoes still onboard. Boat hit the pier and is
damaged. Estnic battery on Aegna fires at “Orzel”.
