| Aside from all of the dings, creases and dents; the lower portion of the cab was caved-in. It looked as though someone took it off road and dropped the truck on a huge rock. My pop had to cut out the caved-in section, make the identical cut on the donor cab, and graft the good piece into the keeper cab. The other cab was burnt so, as such, we couldn't just swap cabs. | ||||||||||||||

| You can see the nearly final product of this cut and weld. Not bad. Once the welds were ground down and a little bondo and a lot of time spent massaging this area - you can look as closely as you like; you can't tell this was ever done. Awesome job here... The chassis had to go through some rebuilding and clean-up before marrying the two back together. |
