Cab Work
Aside from all of the dings, creases and dents; the lower portion of the cab was caved-in.  It looked as though someone took it off road and dropped the truck on a huge rock.  My pop had to cut out the caved-in section, make the identical cut on the donor cab, and graft the good piece into the keeper cab.  The other cab was burnt so, as such, we couldn't just swap cabs.
You can see the nearly final product of this cut and weld.  Not bad.  Once the welds were ground down and a little bondo and a lot of time spent massaging this area - you can look as closely as you like; you can't tell this was ever done.  Awesome job here...

The
chassis had to go through some rebuilding and clean-up before marrying the two back together.
