| Everyone has a conscience. God has instilled it in each person. No one really understands what it is or how it works, but we all have one. I don�t need to explain it to you, because you know what I am talking about The conscience is part of the spirit of man. It does not lie in the soul and therefore even though we can be convinced in our heads that something is right, if it is not, our conscience will not let us feel right about it. God speaks to us through our conscience so that we can know what is right and what is wrong even if we have never studied it in the Bible. That is why our lesson on living righteously comes before our lesson on Bible study. Our conscience can be seared. When we don�t listen to our conscience and heed it over and over, eventually it becomes hardened until things that used to bother us don�t bother us anymore. Even though those things are just as wrong as they ever were when our conscience did bother us, we don�t �feel� like we have done anything wrong. (Leprosy) |
