This is going out to all the persons I know to be artists and/or who might know artists... the non-profit civil rights legal organization I work (Lambda Legal Defense and Education Fund) with is looking for artists to do caricatures of our staff - can be from a photo, so you wouldn't actually have to do it in our office, unless that would be the easiest. the caricatures, ideally slightly comical, but reasonably realistic, would appear on our holiday greeting card, in approximately post card size, so they'd have to clear enough that I could scan and reduce the size to standard photo size - apx 3x5 to 4x6 inches. We could either take a photo of all the staff together and the caricature could be done from that or individual photos and individual caricatures which we (I) can composite into one. The original(s) cannot be bigger than 8.5x11, tho. Do you know anyone or anyone who knows anyone who is good at caricatures and would either do them for low cost or donate their time for a tax deduction?

or even if you don't know caricature artists, possibly someone who's really good with photography and probably Photoshop and its ilk who could manipulate the subjects and the photo from boring to "nifty" with very little to work with on the original photo end?

Any ideas are welcome!

they would have to be done fairly soon, probably for mailing on or before the 15th of December, therefore they'd have to be completed and to me for scanning by the 8th or 9th of December.

I don't know how many of you heard the Pakistani Presidents address to the UN assembly the other day but let me tell you ahead of time (I'll make a link to a script of it later) that it was one of the most on point, intelligent, fully detailed address's of the situation I have heard yet. He addressed every single detail of how the war against terrorism should be dealt with now and after. He was so genuinely democratic, sincerely PRO WOMAN (he suggested that we accept no less than half the seats in the new Afghanistan government be held by women!), so utterly humble, EXTREMELY peace driven, and level headed. He made me feel glad for our association with his country! Personally, I am internationally concerned and this sure made me happy to hear!
