| Taipei 101, at 509 metres, is currently the world's tallest building, recently taking the title from the Petronas towers in Kualar Lumpar. Prior to this, the Petronas towers, at 492 metres, stood as the world's tallest, although some disagreed with this; the Petronas towers have large spires, which count towards their total height. The Petronas towers are still the world's tallest twin towers. The Sears tower still has the world's highest inhabited floor, but only until the intternal completion of Taipei 101. |
