The Mysterious encounter of prayer
takes five basic forms

What is Prayer?

Prayer is a means to communicate, speak, or invoke ones thoughts, desires, or needs to the creator. Prayer is truly a higher form of communication, and requires one to go beyond the norms that exist in todays society. We have news, media, radio, the Internet, but prayer involves getting in touch with a higher power. In prayer we ask for the ear of the Supreme Being. Prayer also has various depths or intensities, besides the five basic forms that I will guide you through.

A prayer may be a simple as an expression of love or gratitude, such as "thank you Lord", or may be a deep contemplative meditation on mysterious of Christs passion or chapters/verses of the bible. What ever depth of prayer one undertakes, it is most definitely a postivie, humbling experience. This is the prayer that Jesus gave to us:

Our Father, who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kindgdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Amen.
