Day at the University of Maryland
The WVU Sigma Alpha Alumni
participated in the Ag-Day basket raffle in two fold.
Heather Molessa donates her time as an auctioneer to the
cause, while the WVU Sigma Alpha Alumni donated 2
baskets that were part of the basket raffle auction. We raised $100.
The alumni will soon vote as to where to allocate the money. Here are
some pictures of the event.

Hope Bags
We have decided to do a variation of the Hope Bags philantropy. At our November 2008 meeting in Morgantown, we will be collecting dog training items to help out the Service Dog Program that is taught by Jean Mead of the Cheat Lake Animal Hospital. A complete list of items will be posted as the meeting date nears.If you would like to help, please contact Monica Maxwell.
Our Next Meeting
The WVU
Sigma Alpha Alumni chapter's
next meeting is tentatively scheduled for September 4, 2008 via
conference call. Because attendance to our meetings has been low
recently, we have elected to offer our meetings via telephone and
eventually internet. Further details of the meeting will be posted as
the date nears. If you are interested in participating, please email
President Anne Walker.
Active Chapter
Leadership Day
The WVU Sigma Alpha Alumni are
planning to hold a Leadership Day for the WVU Sigma Alpha active
chapter. Dates we are considering are April 4, 2009 or April 18, 2009.
We are hoping to coordinate the leadership day with the active chapter
spring formal. We will need help securing
speakers, coordinating refreshments, location to hold the event, etc. If you are interested in helping,
