ABSTRACT:
The investigation of various data mining algorithms for large data sets. Two algorithms are currently being implemented and they are the PRISM and an genetic algorithm. These implementations will be used to compare which algorithm dissects the data more quickly. The importance of this investigation is that the amount of data is exponentially increasing; the time to extract important information should be minimal and accurate. After the implementations and testing the algorithms will possibly be used in several projects at Auburn University.
