Hello. My name is Misshigh Andmighty, but you can call me Missy as my friends do. I am
a 16.1hh Appendix Quarter Horse (TB/QH X). No one is for sure how old I am, except
for myself of course. But like all women, I'll just keep that my little secret. :) I am a
chestnut, although a darker shade than Chester. As for markings, I have a large white
blaze on my face, and a right front sock. Most people would describe me as a bit of a
witch because I hate when there is someone in my stall with me. Get me out off my stall
and I am a total sweetheart, if I like you that is. A lot of the little kids are afraid of me,
but Ju isn't. I've only known her for about 1 1/2 years, but we get along pretty good. In
the beginning of this past summer (2000) Ju brought me to two shows, only to hack, then
she brought me to two more to hack and jump. We did pretty good winning many ribbons
and collecting a bunch of points along the way. In October, Ju took me to a Halloween
show. The jumps were decorated with corn stalks, coffins, pumpkins, plastic door
decorations, and hay bales. Boy was I excited to be there. It took us a while to get there,
or should I say it just took us a while to leave home. I was the only horse out of 7 that
would load onto the dark trailer without a problem. Once we got to the show we had to do
a lot of waiting, while they ran the jumpers classes. Then we got to school with about 20
other horses, talk about crowded, then Ju brought me back to the trailer and we got ready
for our classes. We rode in two different divisions: Novice Hunter Horse and Novice
Equitation, both were over 2'3"-6" jumps. After lots of waiting and long, confusing
courses here is how we placed:
-Novice Hunter Horse-
Over fences-6th
Over fences-4th
Under saddle-3rd
-Novice Equitation-
Over fences-4th
Over fences-3rd
Under saddle-1st!!!!
!!!We also won Champion in the Equitation Division!!!
We had a lot of fun, but I was glad to go back home at the end of the day. Well, I think
