Back to My Pumpkin Patch (2005)
Created: September 2002
Last updated: January 2005
I've not had a proper holiday since starting work, until this trip. Then again, I've only been in the rat race for only close to 2 years. However, since the opportunity arose for me to take time off from work, I figured I might as well do something totally different.

China beckoned, and so to China I went...to teach English. It was a short stint, but, boy, was it exciting. The group walked through garbage (literally), went up hills (albeit smallish ones...*wink*), attempted to chow down interesting swine parts, attempted flying kites on a windy spring morn, conducted "highly confidential" meetings, took flight in the darkness.... All in all, I had an amazing time! There was a lot of learning and God played a major role taking care of our safety.

As with Italy, I hope to return one day.

Apart from a short visit to HK/Shenzhen, a day in Malacca, a week at GLO, Taiping, and of course the World Cup 2002 (woo hoo! way to go Brasil!), life during the 2 months after Chongqing wasn't too eventful. Well.. can't say that's true these days. ..

End November 2003
Visited HK again with the family and managed to meet up with Lora and Anita briefly... was nice exchanging stories and seeing how much weight we've all put on! Only I seem to be the only one who's put on any!

Just arrived back from diving in Tioman... managed to clock in 8 dives. ;) Weather wasn't all that great but company was wonderful and we managed to see some pretty amazing sights, esp at the wrecks - a turtle (my first!), loads of baracuda, nudibranch, rock fish, lion fish, sea pen, a humungous morey eel, clown fish (my fav!)... and loads of other beautiful things which God has created!

(will write more when I find the time!)
