1987
The twins got their first acting gig! On a new sitcom called 'Full House' they shared the role of baby Michelle.
1988
Full House got called back for a second season. Early storylines included Michelle learning how to talk and taking her first steps. Early reviews were harsh.
1989
Full House soon found a audience, who would never miss an episode.
1990-91
The show was a top 10 hit!
1992
At only five years old they recorded their first album, Brother For Sale and starred in their first made for TV movie, 'To Grandmother's House We Go'
1993
Their first movie being a hit, they decided to do another called 'Double, Double Toil and Trouble', a spooky halloween flick. The girls became the youngest producers in Holloywood History at the tender age of six.
1994
Next came a movie all about the wild wild west, 'How the West was Fun' Yee-hah! The grand launch of Olsen & Olsen Mystery Agency with the straight to video 30 minute The Adventures of Mary-Kate and Ashley series.
1995
Sadly Full House was cancelled as it became to pricey to produce, but after 8 long seasons, it's still one of the longest running sitcoms to date. But 1995 was a very busy year for Mary-Kate and Ashley because it was the year they starred in their first ever big screen movie, 'It Takes 2' Co-starring Kirsty Alley and Steve Guttenberg about two identical stangers who meet by chance and decide to switch places. The movie was popular but the twins decided to stick with straight to video movies. The You're invite to Mary-Kate and Ashley's series came underway.
1996
At only 10 years old the girls released a range of books. There are now over 10 book series! And the girls have starred in over 500 books!
1997
The twins learnt to ski, whilst shooting a Christmas video and Mary-Kate and Ashley starred in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City, riding on the Jell-O float.
1998
The twins starred in a new sitcom 'Two of a Kind' Unfortunately the show was cancelled the following year after only twenty two episodes. They filmed the movie, 'Billboard Dad, their first 90 minute straight-to-video release.
1999
1999 saw Mary-Kate and Ashley trading places in the footie flick, Switching Goals. They also released another movie Passport to Paris, where they went to Europe for the first time and at 13 years old, had their first on-screen kisses.
2000
G'day mate! It was off to Sydney to film Our Lips are Sealed. Will the girls ever manage to keep their mouths shut long enough? They also released dolls that looked just like them!
2001
The mary-kateandashley brand of clothing and accessories was released. It soon went worldwide. The also travelled to the UK to shoot Winning London, then later to the Bahamas, Atlantis resort for Holiday in the Sun. Finally they released another new sitcom, So Little Time and an animated series Mary-Kate and Ashley in Action! Phew, what a busy year!
2002
Sweet 16! the girls celebrated their 16th birthday with matching rangerovers! Mary-Kate and Ashley in Action was also cancelled after only 22 episodes but So Little Time was a hit! However after only 26 episodes the girls decided to quit and move on. They filmed the movie Getting There all about turning sixteen and When in Rome.
2003
Sob! It was the twins last ever straight to video release! The Challlenge, all about rival siblings who tak part in a reality TV show, watch the end for a special surprise! the girls also had a cameo in the box office hit, Charlies Angels 2, Full Throttle.
2004
They starred in and produced their first big screen movie in the last 9 years, New York Minute, however it flopped at the Box Office. But that didn't stop the twins owning their own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! Sadly Mary-Kate was admitted to rehab clinic for anorexia in June, but luckily she is recovering. Then in September they headed off for their freshman year at New York Univeristy.
2005
The girls have been busy with their studies, at NYU but they've still managed to make appearances at fashion shows, photoshoots, charity benifits and so much more! They even launched a new furniture line. What next?
2006
The twins appeared at numerous events. They also set loads of great fashion trends. Mary-Kate finished shooting her small role in Factory Girl and the movie was released.
