There are pictures of Sakura (cherry blossoms) in Japan. Their life is short, so hurry up! Bring your picnic, sake and go find your spot! If you can not go to Japan in this season, go to Washington D.C. for hanami. Washington D.C. is the only place where actual Japanese cherry trees exist. In 1912, 3,000 cherry trees are sent from Japan to Washington D.C. as a gift of growing friendship between the United States and Japan. For details, visit National Cherry Blossom Festival.
